Overview There is an immediate opening for an energetic, passionate & experienced Full Time Merchandise Planner to join our Planning and Allocation team. This position will partner with the Buyer and Supervisor to support company goals and objectives for the planning function. The Planner has a direct, high impact on sales, gross margin and inventory dollars for their area of responsibility.

Base pay range $80,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Merchandising, or similar required.

2+ years business experience with progressive responsibility in merchandising experience that includes planning, buying or inventory management experience is required

Planner Level: 2+ yrs experience

Strong interpersonal, written & verbal skills and ability to operate as a business partner across multiple functions is required.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret meaningful trends from quantitative and qualitative data.

Excellent attention to detail and quality of work.

Financial and general business acumen, cost/benefit analysis and inventory life cycle knowledge are essential.

Strong working knowledge of Excel and BI reporting systems as a majority of the daily work will be done using these tools.

Solid experience in leading and team building skills, including mentoring, training, and development by providing on-going coaching.

Responsibilities

Responsible for translating Financial Targets and Product Strategies into product level Sales, GM, and Inventory targets by Brand and Channel.

Plan and Track Key Metrics (KPI's) by Brand and Channel.

Support Merchandising with the architecture of the Product Assortment Strategy, breadth and depth and product category requirements.

Completes productivity analysis by Style to support the Merchant Buy Decisions.

Responsible to Hindsight the Business - determine what worked and what did not work and why. Make recommendations to Drive sales and improve GM.

Manage with Planning Teams and Merchandising Formalized Test Process.

Manages and facilitates monthly Sales, GM, and Inventory plan and forecast process. Provides Finance with monthly forecasts by Brand and Channel and Product to complete P&L and Balance sheet.

Support Merchandising with Sales and GM analysis by style as part of the Buy Process to ensure overall product targets are achieved.

Analyzes the business and identifies risks and opportunities with the Brand and Channel level forecasts. Make recommendations to insure plans are achieved.

Manage Sales and Inventory to plan

Develops and Analyzes standard product level reporting highlighting performance against Sales, GM and Inventory Targets.

Works with Merchandising and Supply Chain to support Pre-Season Style Planning for capacity and raw materials procurement.

Support Retail Pricing Decisions both Initial Price and recommended Clearance Pricing to insure Sales and GM targets are achieved.

Works with Merch Planning Team, Merchandising & Store Planners on liquidation strategies for aged, discontinued and overstocked inventory.

Other Information The pay range for this position is: $80k - $90k per year. Please note that the foregoing compensation information is a good-faith assessment associated with this position only and is provided pursuant to the New York City Salary Transparency Law.
