The Business Development Representative (BDR) is a key player in driving revenue growth by identifying, qualifying, and developing new business opportunities. You'll be the first point of contact for potential clients brands, retailers, and marketplace sellers interested in leveraging AI-driven insights to improve their marketplace performance. This role demands initiative, persistence, strong communication skills, and a metrics-driven approach.
Key responsibilities include :
Drive outbound prospecting through cold calls, personalized emails, and LinkedIn outreach to generate qualified leads.
Follow up on inbound inquiries and convert marketing-generated leads into sales-ready opportunities.
Research and identify decision-makers (e.g., e-commerce directors, marketplace managers, brand leads) within target accounts.
Conduct discovery conversations to understand business goals, challenges, and buying criteria.
Build and maintain detailed account maps and collaborate closely with the sales team on next steps.
Keep CRM data accurate and up to date, logging activities, lead progress, and engagement history.
Meet or exceed weekly and monthly KPIs for outreach volume, meetings booked, and qualified pipeline generated.
Partner with marketing, product, and sales to share market feedback and refine messaging strategies.
Stay informed on e-commerce trends, marketplace updates (Amazon, Walmart, etc.), and competitive solutions.
