Job Description
MGS has an exciting opportunity for a
Quality Inspector
to join our
MGS Richfield
team. The current openings are on the 12 Hour Day or Night Shift. Work hours are 7:00 to 7:00 under a 2-2-3 rotation, working 3 days one week (36 hours) and 4 days the next (48 hours). Training on the 8-hour day shift is required initially.
As a
Quality Inspector
at MGS, you will conduct in-process inspections on manufactured products and document results according to Quality, Regulatory, and Customer requirements. You will work closely with Operations and Quality Engineers to provide feedback on part quality.
Responsibilities include:
Master all necessary areas of the quality system.
Follow GMP and GDP standards.
Understand inspection criteria (VIC, Quality Alerts, IR).
Read and interpret customer drawings and specifications.
Perform inspections (visual, measurements, functional tests).
Identify and document defects or non-conformances.
Record inspection data accurately.
Operate testing equipment (CMM, vision systems, etc.).
Communicate with production and quality teams.
Assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Maintain inspection records and facilitate containment activities.
Train new inspectors and support new product introductions.
Perform housekeeping and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience with basic quality instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
Ability to read basic drawings.
Knowledge of CMM and vision systems is a plus.
Teamwork and willingness to learn.
