Job Description AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Bridge Design Project Engineer III in Houston, TX.
Job Responsibilities
Prepare structural designs, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for transportation structures, including bridges, retaining walls, and drainage structures.
Provide load rating analysis, rehabilitation concepts, and structure type evaluation analyses.
Use current engineering design software.
Coordinate with other design teams and disciplines.
Perform specific and limited portions of broader assignments under the guidance of an experienced engineer.
Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
Work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
Propose approaches to solve new problems encountered.
Identify discrepancies in results.
Provide guidance to entry‑level engineers.
Perform work in accordance with agreed‑upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.
May telecommute.
Qualifications
Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related field and 5 years of progressive, post‑baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
Required Experience
Professional Engineer license.
Expertise with Microstation; LEAP Bridge Concrete; BridgeLink (PGSuper); Bridge Geometry System; MathCAD; Midas; LPile; spColumn; OpenRoad Designer; ProjectWise and Bluebeam.
Developing technical reports and documenting client communications.
Working with TxDOT Bridge Design Manual, Bridge Design Guide, and Bridge Detailing Guide.
Working with Roadway Design Manual, and Geotechnical Design Manual for TxDOT PS&E projects.
Working with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications.
Experience with design‑build projects (Alternative Delivery).

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $130,520 to $137,825.
