Weston & Sampson is currently seeking a Membrane Technology Operations Lead. This position provides a company vehicle for travel throughout New England and requires experience in wastewater operations.

What You’ll Do

Provide technical supervision in the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment plants utilizing membrane technology

Perform startup, commissioning, and decommissioning of membrane systems

Recommend and implement process control adjustments as needed for optimal and efficient wastewater treatment

General troubleshooting and maintenance tasks, including but limited to membrane cleaning procedures

Apply a strong understanding of biological and chemical wastewater treatment processes necessary to keep systems in compliance with regulatory requirements

Act as a resource to operations staff, project managers, and senior management to successfully deliver assigned projects

Maintain compliance with all safety requirements

Develop and build upon internal and external relationships

Participate in specialized trainings to advance technical skills

What You Will Bring

Must possess a minimum of a MA Grade 5C wastewater treatment license; a MA Grade 6C wastewater treatment license is preferred

A high school diploma, or equivalent, and a minimum of 5 + years of experience operating membrane systems; 10 + years of experience is preferred

Familiarity with hollow fiber and plate/sheet membrane systems such as those from US Filter, Memcor, GE Zenon, BioProcess, Toray, etc.

Knowledge of instrumentation, controls, PLCs preferred

Must have a valid driver’s license

Must be available to respond to emergencies during workdays, nights, weekends, and holidays, as necessary

Must exercise independent judgment in executing duties

Must have good written and verbal communication, customer service, problem‑solving, and organizational skills

Incentives Pay increases may be offered with newly acquired licenses and certifications.

Requirements Full‑time position may require various shifts, potential for overtime, and/or flexible hours.
