Leading and managing a team of front-line supervisors in the planning and execution of day-to-day operations ensuring a focus on a safety-first culture Managing staffing, supply, and equipment needs based on forecasted volume Mentoring, developing, and expanding talent and performance initiatives throughout the location Identifying and creating continuous process improvement opportunities Driving strategic initiatives as required Overseeing machine and building maintenance to ensure preventative maintenance programs are in place to minimize downtime Ensuring warehouse staff are trained in health, safety, and environmental practices pertinent to their positions as required by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OHSA) and company policies All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice Requirements
College degree preferred or High School Diploma with 7 plus years of manufacturing experience 5 plus years of warehouse operations experience, preferably in the metal processing/distributing industry Knowledge of ISO policies, procedures, and work instructions as outlined by ISO 9001:2008 Knowledge of statistical process control, warehousing, metal handling, equipment operation, and transportation regulations and procedures SAP experience preferred MS Office experience (Word, Excel, etc.) Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and leadership abilities Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement initiatives – e.g. lean manufacturing, 5S, LEAN, 6-sigma etc. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex (including gender identity, sexual orientation or preference, and pregnancy), age, national origin, religion, disability or genetic information, marital status, status as a veteran, or any other federal, state or local protected class or artificial barrier Seniority level
