CDM Smith's CEI team in Nashville, TN is seeking a Senior Roadway and Bridge Transportation Engineer who will lead and supervise construction inspection activities on transportation infrastructure projects and support client relationships, project leadership, and CEI capabilities development. Responsibilities

Lead and supervise construction inspection activities at transportation infrastructure projects such as roadway, bridge, drainage, erosion and sediment control, maintenance and traffic field sites. Maintain relationships with clients and contractors to ensure construction activities are on schedule and meet contract requirements. Estimate manpower needs, schedule, and assign work to meet deadlines set by the client. Supervise field inspection staff. Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct large or complex construction projects. Participate in new business development and maintain existing client relationships. Act as a mentor for junior level employees. Assist in developing and implementing new strategies to enhance CEI capabilities. Keep abreast of new methods and developments and recommend changes or implement new programs as warranted. Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil, Transportation, or Structural Engineering or related discipline. Professional Engineer (PE) license. 12 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on duties and workload. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Driver's License

Skills And Abilities Expert knowledge of CAD and 3D/4D software and practices. Strong knowledge of engineering design principles. Proficient with Microsoft Office. Excellent verbal and written communications. Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations. Basic knowledge of design standards (AASHTO, NACTO, etc.). EEO Statement
