Overview

Corrugated Supplies Company (CSC) is seeking a Quality Control Analyst to perform routine testing on combined board (corrugated fiberboard) and raw materials (liner and medium). The role involves leading trials for new board and paper grades, and coordinating with the Alsip MiniMill to ensure a quality product. The position is 100% on-site at the Bedford Park, IL facility. Salary range is $50,000 - $55,000 annually, with actual offer based on experience and qualifications. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the United States. This role is not eligible for employer-sponsored work authorization. Relocation assistance is not provided.

Duties & Responsibilities

Ensure monthly testing requirements for random samples of combined board and raw materials are satisfied.

Organize and run trials on the corrugators, test trial material, and prepare test reports with results.

Analyze test data to observe trends, identify poor quality, and find opportunities to improve products.

Participate in routine meetings/conference calls with the Alsip MiniMill to discuss quality, performance, and trials.

Occasionally test samples of converted product from customers to verify quality specifications are met.

Work with customers to resolve quality issues and complete certificates of compliance for certified orders.

Qualifications

University degree or college diploma is strongly preferred but not required.

Prior work experience in the industry is preferred but not required.

Strong math, computer, and organizational skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills; customer service background is preferred.

Professional, courteous, and positive manner.

Ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Language Skills

Verbal and written communication skills in English.
