Overview
The City of Dickinson is seeking a dynamic and experienced
Water Reclamation Facility Manager
to lead operations at our state-of-the-art facility. This leadership role oversees all aspects of water reclamation, regulatory compliance, preventative maintenance, and staff development—ensuring the delivery of safe, reliable, and efficient wastewater treatment services for our community.
What You’ll Do
Direct the daily operation and maintenance of the City’s Water Reclamation Facility.
Lead and mentor staff, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability.
Monitor plant processes, adjust operations, and ensure compliance with state and federal permits.
Oversee preventative maintenance programs, capital planning, and operational efficiency.
Prepare for and respond to regulatory inspections and audits.
Manage budgets, resources, and long-term planning for facility improvements.
Represent the City in meetings, public outreach, and inter-agency collaborations.
What We’re Looking For
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Civil/Environmental Engineering, Wastewater Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or related field.
OR Associate’s degree with 5+ years progressively responsible wastewater experience including supervisory duties.
Certification: North Dakota Class IV Wastewater Treatment Certification (or Class III with ability to achieve Class IV within 1 year).
Valid ND Driver’s License.
ND Department of Health pH Certification within 3 months of hire.
Hours & Pay
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, with occasional nights and weekends required
Salary:
$86,711.83 – $95,736.87 annually (DOE)
