HDR is hiring a CEI Project Administrator to join our Florida CEI Group on-site in Tampa, Florida.
Primary Responsibilities
Serve as point of contact and project lead for multiple construction projects
Plan and organize the work of subordinate and staff members
Develop and/or review policies, methods, practices, and procedures
Review programs for conformance with Department standards
Perform constructability and biddability reviews
Provide mentorship to junior staff
Provide risk management and issue resolution leadership
Take responsibility for a wide variety of specialized project-related administrative and accounting functions
Work independently to effectively manage complex project- and executive-level paper and electronic files, documents and records
Compose and develop correspondence and report
Manage project insurance matters
Apply company quality assurance guidelines and procedures, and independently monitor for quality assurance
Manage project documents and files
Answer questions regarding company policies, procedures, and guidelines
Organize and coordinate meetings, and assist with presentations
Work with complex contracts and sub-agreements
Track and monitor project budgets, workloads, and schedules
Actively participate in project reviews
Exhibit professionalism with clients
Work closely with multiple Project Managers and project teams
Exercise good judgment and discretion, and independently resolve problems and issues relating to administrative project functions
Handle client invoicing, manage collections, complete project budgets and ensure compliance with project contractual obligations as needed
Oversee activities of other administrative project support staff as needed
Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering
Professional Engineering License
Structures/Bridges Construction Management/Inspection experience
Ability to interpret construction schedules
Previous FDOT or other comparable agency experience strongly preferred
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Construction Science or closely related field or equivalent work experience.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in various aspects of construction planning and management, including but not limited to construction contracts; document, time, cost, and quality management; change management; and site safety. estimating, bidding, preparing and administering purchase orders and subcontracts, scheduling, cost control, etc.
Experience with Microsoft Office
Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Prolog, Primavera, Bluebeam, etc.
Must have strong people skills and the ability to interact with the Owner, Engineer, Contractor and other project stakeholders
