HUB’s Customer Service professionals support clients through account management, claims management, day‑to‑day oversight, and underwriting services. The Benefit Analyst II supports Account Executives and Advisors with quoting, reporting and strategic analytics to increase profitability and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors. Responsibilities
Develop and communicate strategy for RFPs, results and reports to carrier partners/vendors; manage new and renewal submissions. Interpret client needs and recommend RFP direction and contribution analysis. Quote new and renewal groups and analyze the market to find best solutions. Examine benefits and claims data for inclusion in RFPs, organize carrier & vendor bids, and follow up on late submissions. Negotiate with carriers during the RFP process and address carrier questions. Support Account Executives with data gathering, benchmarking, strategic planning and reporting. Conduct claims analysis and contribution modeling; interpret census data for accuracy. Communicate with Account Executives and Producers on marketing activity status. Review insurance bids for compliance, identify key differences and maintain client databases. Create and update templates used in strategy and marketing processes. Add to and maintain client access to external online portals. Provide training as a subject‑matter expert on various topics. Manage client‑related service issues and attend carrier sales meetings, trainings and webinars. Maintain detailed knowledge of products and relay information between carriers, Account Executives and Producers. Coordinate with carriers and internal HUB teams. Operate BenAdmin, workflow, carrier and proposal systems. Research and resolve data issues using multiple systems, tools and resources. Maintain positive internal and external relationships and uphold HUB values, including HIPAA and ACA compliance. Ensure HUB turnaround times align with KPIs. Assist in developing and implementing new processes and procedures. Act as the analytical subject matter in strategy meetings with Account Executives and Producers. Mentor junior Benefit Analysts. Use SmartSheet for project management and Benefit Point to update client information. Qualifications
College degree. Minimum 5+ years working for a carrier or brokerage firm. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office (intermediate to expert). Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under pressure. Team‑oriented self‑starter with prioritization skills. Detail oriented with sense of urgency. Understanding of benefits terminology. Proficient typing ability. High degree of independence and problem‑solving skills. Accurate enrollment/changes completion, including follow‑up with carriers and team. Benefits & Compensation
The expected salary range is $80,000 – $90,000 per year, based on skills, experience, education and licensing certifications.
