Overview
Role focuses on ensuring schedule attainment, quality, productivity, uptime, on-time delivery, and cost targets; drives continuous improvement through the Rittal Production System (RPS); maintains 5S principles and collaborates with quality, engineering, and internal suppliers to resolve production issues; actively participates in improving assembly operations and fostering a positive workplace culture.
Responsibilities
Ensure labor and materials are present to meet schedule attainment.
Ensure a quality product is assembled and packaged according to customer specifications and standards.
Meet or exceed targets for Quality, Productivity, Uptime, On-Time Delivery, and Cost.
Perform work content at every station per work instruction and to takt time.
Maintain a clean, orderly work environment following 5S principles.
Oversee cross training of assembly line workers; keep training matrix up-to-date.
Track daily attendance and complete time sheets.
Drive continuous improvement to achieve a World Class manufacturing environment through the implementation of the Rittal Production System (RPS).
Interface with quality, engineering, and buyer/planner to help resolve production issues.
Interface with internal suppliers (e.g., paint, fab) to resolve production issues.
Actively participate in improving assembly operations; develop new ideas or methods to improve efficiency.
Actively engage with peers, supervisors, and management in creating a positive workplace culture.
Qualifications
HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. Prior assembly knowledge is required.
Familiarity with basic 5S concepts.
Ability to work effectively under pressure with a high level of initiative—able to work with minimal oversight.
Excellent communication skills; ability to work well with all levels of employees; strong attention to detail; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
