Hill International is seeking a Sr Project Manager in Edinburg, Texas
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited university
Six (6) years of related work experience providing project management of design and/or construction activities
Relevant experience may be substituted for education on a one-to-one basis
Preferred certification and Licenses: Registered Architect or Professional Engineer License. Project Management certification such as PMP, CEFP, CCM, or similar
Experience in managing design and construction projects for renovations and new facilities, especially in higher education, healthcare, or commercial settings
Ability to perform all required duties successfully in an office/industrial/construction environment; some travel, evening, night, and weekend work may be required
Physical ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and around hazards, with occasional exposure to chemicals and extreme weather conditions
Strong leadership, management, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Knowledge of regulations, laws, and project management principles including budgeting, bid procedures, and construction methods
Ability to read and interpret construction plans, legal documents, and to create and lead presentations
Ability to collaborate, negotiate, evaluate contracts, and maintain effective relationships
Responsibilities
Manage all phases of project design and construction to meet scope, budget, and schedule, including new construction, renovations, and maintenance
Ensure compliance with safety codes, regulations, and standards
Coordinate design and construction services, evaluate needs, prepare budgets, and secure funding
Prepare and negotiate contracts, manage project documentation, and oversee multiple projects simultaneously
Review design progress, coordinate bid documents, and participate in procurement processes
Conduct on-site meetings, inspections, and coordinate utility outages and construction activities
Maintain communication with all stakeholders, develop presentations, and support emergency response efforts
Coordinate project close-out activities, including commissioning, training, and documentation
Collaborate with support departments to ensure standards are met and projects are integrated into campus operations
Mentor staff, stay current with industry standards, and perform other duties as assigned
