Job Description The Delivery Specialist will maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. Responsibilities include collecting money on C.O.D. deliveries and picking up customer returns.
Essential Job Functions
Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products safely and efficiently.
Use delivery fleet management devices to process deliveries, capture signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete inspections.
Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and conduct daily inspections.
Secure vehicles, keys, fuel cards, devices, and collected monies at all times.
Pick up customer returns and fill out driver return slips.
Communicate customer issues or needs to store management.
Report vehicle maintenance needs or damages immediately.
Ensure fuel tanks are filled, and secure vehicles at day's end.
Clock in/out per company policy.
Perform additional duties such as customer service, stocking, merchandising, errands, and handling core returns.
Assist customers or serve as cashier when needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills, Education, Knowledge, and Experience Required:
Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Adaptability to changing delivery situations.
Driving record meeting company standards (14/18-point system).
Legally required valid driver's license and driving eligibility.
Desired:
Familiarity with automotive parts.
Ability to operate light store equipment.
Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.
