OSP Field Operations Technician
specialized in fiber optics to join our team. The Field Operations Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fiber optic network systems. This role involves working outdoors, often in challenging weather conditions, and requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail. About Ezee Fiber

Key Responsibilities Install, splice, and test fiber optic cables to ensure proper functioning of network infrastructure. Perform maintenance and repairs on existing fiber optic connections, including troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise. Conduct site surveys to assess feasibility of fiber optic installations and identify obstacles or hazards. Collaborate with engineering and design teams to develop efficient network layouts and configurations. Adhere to industry standards and regulations for fiber optic installation and maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Keep detailed records of all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities, including documenting changes to network configurations. Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed. Respond promptly to service calls and emergencies, addressing issues in a timely and efficient manner. Utilize specialized tools and equipment, such as fusion splicers and OTDRs, to perform fiber optic tasks accurately and effectively. Stay informed about advancements in fiber optic technology and industry best practices, participating in ongoing training and professional development opportunities. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training in fiber optics preferred. Proven experience working with fiber optic networks, including installation, splicing, and testing. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for fiber optic infrastructure. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot network issues effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well independently and as part of a team. Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks in outdoor environments and at elevated heights. Valid driver\'s license and clean driving record. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
