Roles and Responsibilities
The Service and Sales Representative provides a welcoming and safe environment for members and guests through excellent customer service. Their interactions contribute to overall sales and member satisfaction/retention.
Customer Service
Deliver a legendary member experience with high-quality service.
Answer phones and assist members/guests with questions regarding memberships, services, and billing.
Enroll new members and explain membership terms.
Respond promptly to feedback and complaints, escalating issues when necessary.
Communicate promotions and services effectively to maximize member benefits.
Club Operations
Maintain cleanliness and a friendly atmosphere at the Welcome Desk.
Handle routine member service tasks using club systems, including creating accounts, resetting passwords, updating credit cards, collecting balances, processing cancellations, and managing class reservations.
Assist management with administrative duties like billing calls and appointment confirmations.
Report on time, in proper uniform, representing the brand well.
Conduct club/locker room walkthroughs to ensure facilities are presentable.
Report maintenance or equipment issues to management promptly.
Follow all club policies, procedures, and codes of conduct.
Be vigilant about loss prevention measures.
Position Requirements & Experience
At least 1 year of face-to-face customer service experience, preferably in a gym or retail setting.
Child & Adult AED/CPR certification.
Proficiency with POS and membership systems, and other relevant computer programs.
Experience working in a team-oriented environment.
Patience and professionalism in handling challenging member issues.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 20 pounds, walking, climbing stairs, and bending.
