Overview

Provide a variety of accounting and support services to multiple clients, including: Review and oversight of accounting processes: timely posting of financial transactions to the general ledger, maintaining the general ledger, posting journal entries, coordinating monthly close, and preparing financial reports. Oversee accounting functions for specific families, including accounts payable, ensuring invoices and payments are authorized and processed timely. Review and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts and document business transactions. Manage and reconcile bank accounts; reconcile various expenses and intercompany accounts. Prepare monthly/quarterly financial packages for clients with related work papers. Assist in the preparation of annual tax packages and supporting documents.
Establish, modify, document, and coordinate the implementation of accounting control procedures. Develop trusted relationships with clients to gather project information and resolve issues. Manage day-to-day accounting to ensure delivery of timely and accurate work product. Supervise, develop, mentor, and motivate associates and senior associates; participate in on-the-job training, provide performance feedback, counseling, and foster a collaborative team environment. Manage workload and deadlines for associates with a focus on quality, efficiency, and project effectiveness. Engage with clients to understand critical areas and apply tax technical knowledge to client situations; create concise deliverables addressing client needs. Clearly communicate work plan, project objectives, and timelines to multidisciplinary project teams. Encourage open expression of ideas and diverse perspectives; build client relationships with knowledge of client businesses. Assist with business development, including creating resources and proposal materials. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. 4+ years of relevant experience; Private Client Services/Family Office/High Net Worth accounting experience strongly preferred. CPA or Licensed Attorney. High level of integrity and respect for confidentiality of sensitive client information. Prior proven experience leading and managing work streams and mentoring junior staff. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to articulate complex tax concepts and influence clients. Strong research, writing, and analytical skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; strong knowledge of QuickBooks. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines; high motivation to learn and grow; detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Bilingual skills are a plus. About Alvarez & Marsal

The salary range is $110,000 - $140,000 annually, with discretionary bonus opportunities.
