Overview

Securities and Derivatives Operations Manager — New York, NY Equipped to manage daily securities and derivatives operations, settlement processing, reconciliation, and related risk, compliance, and process improvement tasks within a financial services environment. Responsibilities

Process securities buy/sell and related transactions including settlements, coupon resets and processing, corporate actions, security asset pledge/unpledged, fee processing, security market price uploads, repo margin calls and claim settlements. Manage derivative daily operations including Cleared Swaps, Credit Default Index (CDX), London Clearing House (LCH) Margin Call Operations, Rate Resets, Cross Currency Swaps, Agent Repos, and Futures/Options operations. Perform Federal Reserve Bank (FRB) Check 21 operations. Investigate and reconcile transaction discrepancies; resolve security and cash settlement and trade confirmation issues with custodians and brokers. Prepare and/or review daily and monthly term-end reports for management and other groups. Prepare and/or review settlement instructions for both security and derivative transactions, including SWIFT and money transfers for various custodians; prepare new and update SDI instructions independently. Streamline processes in line with current market practice; participate in new product development and testing as required by management. Draft and update group policies and procedures; apply record retention and record-keeping on documents. Participate in cross-training to ensure adequate team coverage and backup. Provide support for internal audits, regulatory inquiries, and compliance tasks. Document and improve processes in collaboration with technology and risk teams; participate in special projects under team lead supervision. Maintain ongoing self-training activities using available resources to assure optimal job results. Note: Based on changes in the business environment, responsibilities may change; other duties and special projects may be added as deemed necessary by Management. Skills & Requirements

Experience:

4–6 years of relevant experience Security settlement and TMPG/CSDR practice knowledge (must have Fedwire, DTC, Euroclear settlement, pledge operations, and corporate actions processing experience). SWIFT knowledge for security settlement (must have MT54x series, MT2xx knowledge). Derivative operations knowledge (cleared swaps, CDS, CDX operations; knowledge of ISDA Master and Dodd-Frank Acts is preferred). Team player with good communications and writing skills. Self-motivated, responsible, result-oriented, and flexible in dealing with changing situations. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, Access, and Internet Explorer. The typical base pay range for this role is between $80K - $95K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location.
