Overview
Compliance and Quality Coordinator, Non-Licensed – Northside Center for Child Development. Provides oversight to ensure programs operate in compliance with local, state, and federal laws, in addition to Northside Center policies and procedures. Supports the Corporate Compliance Program, reviews internal controls, drives continuous improvement, and fosters a culture of excellence and accountability. About Northside

Duties And Responsibilities
Perform program utilization reviews and internal audits to ensure recipients receive appropriate services and are served at an appropriate level of care. Submit findings and/or Corrective Action Plans to program leadership based on findings. Assist with internal audit preparation activities and overall readiness, including program visits to review physical plant, administrative documentation, staff preparedness, and quality case record reviews. Provide guidance to staff regarding program regulatory requirements. Conduct periodic Medicaid billing audit and monitoring activities as part of the annual Compliance Work Plan. Conduct compliance investigations as required into identified regulatory and/or compliance issues. Draft investigation reports summarizing findings and recommending corrective actions. Identify potential risk areas that could impact Northside Center’s reputation, safety, security, and financial prosperity. Assist leadership in developing and implementing policies and procedures to mitigate these risks. Identify and assist in establishing methods to improve provider efficiency, quality of services, and reducing vulnerability to fraud, waste and abuse. Provide support for ongoing administration of the Corporate Compliance Program. Assist department leadership in development and monitoring of quality improvement activities across all programs, as assigned by the Director of Compliance and Quality Management and/or Senior Management. Assist department leadership in development of, or revision to, applicable Northside Center policies, including organizing annual reviews of internal policy and procedure. Assist leadership with incident management, including incident tracking and trending analysis, participation in relevant committees, and completion of associated meeting minutes. Completes additional duties as assigned by Director of Compliance and Quality Management and/or Senior Management. Specific Skills
Identify, understand, interpret, and operationalize various Federal and State laws, rules, regulations, policies, guidelines, and performance standards. Ability to work with a diverse range of people and negotiate effectively with various departments within the organization. Strong writing, relationship development, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Critical thinker, analytical, and detail-oriented. Creative, strategic, and results-oriented team player, flexible and agile in a fast-paced environment requiring management of multiple relationships and projects under deadlines. Computer literate, including Microsoft Office Suite; experience with electronic health records (NetSmart) preferred. Core Competencies

Master’s Degree preferred; or Bachelor’s Degree in human services, social work, or related field; and Minimum 2 years of prior experience in human services, behavioral health, or related fields required Prior experience in the area of compliance or quality assurance preferred Knowledge of NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH), Department of Education (DOE), Early Intervention (EI), and/or Early Head Start/Head Start regulatory standards Knowledge of Office of Inspector General (OMIG) industry standards and regulations, including Medicaid program Part 521 regulations COMPENSATION : $55,000 - $65,000
