ServiceMaster RRH $1,000 SIGNING BONUS*** Position Overview A successful Fire Restoration Technician monitors, inspects, and completes tasks for restoration jobs to ensure the completion of drying, demolition, pack-out of contents, and various fire restoration activities. The Fire Restoration Technician prepares and reviews documentation, including notes, photos, and reports, according to company policies to ensure insurance reimbursement. They also explain processes used to complete active jobs and next steps to customers in person. Job Responsibilities Retrieve work orders, load necessary equipment and supplies, and arrive at the work site. Explain processes and next steps to customers using printed materials, with or without supervision. Complete assigned jobs following company procedures while maintaining quality and urgency. Perform fire/smoke damage repair tasks, including water extraction, contents pack-out, disposal of non-salvageable materials, and light construction/demolition as directed. Handle equipment, supplies, vehicles, and products properly; report malfunctions or damages. Inspect jobs after completion, obtain customer signatures, and request payments when necessary. Adjust the drying plan daily based on meter readings. Resolve customer issues and communicate daily activities with supervisors and staff. Prepare documentation and photos to ensure insurance reimbursement. Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in restoration or construction preferred but not required. Valid driver’s license and good driving record. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem-solving and customer service skills. Knowledge of disaster restoration industry preferred. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Experience with data entry on tablets or mobile devices. Timely attendance in a clean uniform. Ability to read and follow product instructions. Certifications such as FSRT and OCT are preferred but not required. Physical Demands & Working Conditions Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform physical tasks such as crawling or squatting. Safety equipment like respirators must seal properly. Work may be inside or outside with varying environmental conditions.
