Job Summary The Planner is responsible for analyzing business trends and identifying opportunities to drive retail and net sales to achieve plan and reduce the liability of unproductive inventory. The Planner works with the ecommerce Brand.com teams, ADX Site Merchandising and CX teams, Shiseido NYO Sales Operations team and respective Retail Account Buying and Planning Executives.
What You Will Do
Sales & Allocation Planning
- Track and analyze unit monthly demand forecast vs actuals
Manage and review Continuous Estimate Planning and communicate plans to Brand.com and Sales Ops teams
Develop seasonal/annual sales plans, including monthly HPLN reforecasts
Inventory Management
- Monitor inventory selling velocity and ensure safety stock levels are appropriate, especially during promotional and high traffic periods.
Review E&O inventory and make recommendations to push Last Chance category and special promotions.
Maintain correct stock balance to maximize retail sales
Review weekly sales and promotion performance, inventory reports, web marketing calendars and digital trends in partnership with Brand Ecommerce and Supply Chain teams to ensure product is always in stock and available.
Create monthly inventory upload file to reserve inventory
Estimate sales impact of OOS
Create monthly MOB report
Liaison With Fulfillment, EComm
- Partner with brand Ecomm teams, Supply planning, and Marketing on Sample management
Communicate consistently with Supply Planning, Demand Planning, ADC warehouse, to ensure inventory requests are fulfilled for brand.com
Partner with Assembly and ADC warehouse for inventory rework process
Who You Are
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and years of experience
5+ years of retail planning experience (Buying office or extensive head quarters experience, including ecommerce planning)
Extremely proficient in MS Excel
Strong negotiation skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and fluctuating deadlines with a high number of tasks
Strong knowledge and experience with the prestige cosmetic industry and retail planning systems
Attention to detail, high sense of responsibility, dependable and self-starter
Ability to build and maintain relationships within Shiseido and with retail partners
