Project Sales Representative

PremiStar The Project Sales Representative will play a pivotal role in driving business development efforts for the Commercial & Industrial HVAC division. This role involves identifying and securing new project opportunities, nurturing key client relationships, and driving revenue and growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in HVAC and Controls systems and a proven track record in sales within the mechanical contracting industry. Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities in the commercial and Industrial HVAC/Controls markets. Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, facility managers and other potential customers. Lead the sales process from prospecting through closing, including proposal development and contract negotiation. Collaborate with internal teams to design and present HVAC/Controls solutions that meet client needs and budgets. Stay informed about industry trends, market activity and competitor offers to inform strategic planning. Attend industry events and networking functions to promote Air Temp Mechanical Services. Maintain accurate records of sales activities. Required Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration or a related field preferred. Equivalent industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Minimum 5-7 years of sales experience in mechanical contracting, HVAC, controls, or other related construction services. Strong Knowledge of HVAC systems. Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and negotiate high value contracts. Valid driver’s license. Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with commercial general contractors or in the design-build environment. Professional network within the construction or facilities management industries. Familiarity with construction estimating software. Technical certifications (e.g., LEED AP, ASHRAE membership) are a plus. Core Competencies
Sales Acumen: Strong understanding of sales strategy, pipeline development, and closing techniques. Technical Aptitude: Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts related to mechanical systems. Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service and long-term partnership building. Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. Self-Motivation: Results-driven and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Collaboration: Team player who works effectively with internal departments and external partners. Problem Solving: Ability to assess client needs and develop customized, value-driven solutions. Physical Demands & Work Environment
Primarily sedentary role often involves prolonged periods of sitting while using a computer and office equipment. Lifting and carrying objects up to 50 pounds may be required. Travel to customer sites as needed. Reasonable Accommodation
