Merchandising Manager
to bring strategy, creativity, and energy to our product assortments.
SUMMARY:
As the Procurement Manager, you will drive strategic product assortment, pricing, and presentation decisions that maximize sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Duties & Responsibilities
Product Assortment & Category Management
Own product categories, managing assortment, inventory, and lifecycle planning.
Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and sales performance to inform category strategies.
Collaborate with vendors to negotiate pricing, terms, and product availability.
Pricing & Promotion
Develop competitive pricing strategies to maximize revenue and margin.
Plan and execute promotional campaigns in alignment with marketing initiatives and seasonal demand.
eCommerce & Retail Alignment
Ensure consistent product presentation across all sales channels.
Work with the eCommerce team to optimize online merchandising, product descriptions, SEO, and visuals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with marketing, operations, supply chain, and customer service to support launches, inventory planning, and merchandising initiatives.
Provide insights and reports to senior leadership to guide business decisions.
Team Development & Process Improvement
Mentor and guide merchandising team members.
Implement best practices for merchandising planning, reporting, and execution.
Requirements REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or related field.
5+ years of merchandising experience, preferably in retail, eCommerce, or consumer products.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, ERP systems
Experience negotiating with vendors and managing product assortment.
Knowledge of online merchandising best practices, SEO, and product categorization.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
Passion for hobbies, RC products, cycling, or similar consumer products a plus.
Desired Characteristics
Ability to prioritize work in a fast paced, changing environment.
Must be able to take direction from others and receive critique.
Exhibit strong problem-solving skills.
Comfortable preparing and analyzing purchasing and financial information.
Job Conditions
Repetitive office working including typing, using a computer mouse and telephone.
Sitting time: 90%+.
Uses hands 90%+.
Meeting and phone use: 25%+.
Moderate noise – Office environment with computers, printers and light traffic.
