Role Summary:
The WES RPLS Project Manager leads client and internal teams to deliver quality projects, managing proposals, budgets, schedules, staffing and client relationships while ensuring compliance and financial performance.
Responsibilities
Develop & manage proposals, bids, budgets, schedules, billings and contracts
Project management from proposal to project submittal phase & ensure services meet company quality standards & client specifications
Plan & implement processes & procedures to maximize operating efficiency
Sign & seal plats, field notes & control drawings, if necessary
Establish work plans & staffing requirements for multiple projects
Participate in business development opportunities & maintain client relationships
Effectively manage sub‑consultants & other project relationships
Provide support to other operational units, as needed
Manage & report financial status for projects
Represent company interests while in meetings and at external industry events
Perform all tasks assigned to accomplish company’s strategic goals
Qualifications
Registered Professional Land Surveyor (TX RPLS) License
Not required, but beneficial: Oklahoma, Louisiana, New Mexico or Arkansas license
3+ years of industry‑related work experience in a professional or management capacity
Associates/Bachelor’s degree in related discipline and/or equivalent experience
Demonstrated experience in project/phase management for both mid to large scale projects
Strong proficiency of software such as AutoCAD, Carlson C&G, MicroStation, Trimble Business Center, Microsoft Office Suite
Professional written & verbal communication skills
Ability to clearly define assignments & deliverables to team members
Ability to proactively request supporting information and/or documentation from clients
Ability to oversee, mentor & motivate project teams
Ability to identify & troubleshoot issues & problem‑solve accordingly
Drive to meet or exceed aggressive deadlines while maintaining teamwork & collaboration with clients, team members & sub‑consultants
