Overview
Join our team as a Junior QA Technician (M-F 5x8 2nd shift 3:30 pm-12:00 midnight) at Siemens Energy. You will help ensure the highest quality standards by conducting in-process and final inspections and documenting findings using Quality Control Instruction (QCI) and Quality Control Charts (QCC). You will gain experience and certification in Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) methods as part of a team focused on innovation and sustainability in energy technology.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with Level II technicians to learn Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) methods and work toward Level II certification. Become certified in Visual Testing (VT), Penetrant Testing (PT), and Magnetic Testing (MT) to meet role requirements. Validate QA/NDE paperwork for accuracy and upload reports to SAP, ensuring documentation is precise and up-to-date. Conduct in-process and final inspection audits and present results to management, contributing to continuous improvement efforts. Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and operators to support manufacturing productivity and efficiency.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent, plus completion of the Career Readiness Certification required by Siemens Energy. Classroom training in Magnetic Testing (MT) and Penetrant Testing (PT); additional training in Visual Testing (VT) and other NDE methods is beneficial. 1-2 years of manufacturing and/or quality experience, with proficiency in gauging tools and techniques. Eagerness to learn and become proficient in SAP and OIL operating software systems. Legal eligibility to work in the United States without employer-sponsored work authorization.
