Overview
Job Duties: Associate, Trade Processing with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Salt Lake City, Utah. Provides a primary point of contact support model for hedge fund clients who clear with the firm as a prime client. Build, maintain, and enhance client relationships with new and existing clients. Provide clients with a primary point of contact for a wide range of operational issues and account management queries, including addressing trade exception and position management inquiries. Educate clients on enhancements to the firm's offering. Compile and analyze metrics to assess client efficiency and experience to identify and drive improvement. Liaise with Core Operations groups such as Client Clearing Services, Control, & Settlements to resolve queries. Interact with the Prime Services business, Sales, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure that commercial opportunities can be facilitated under controlled conditions. Work independently, or with team members and management, on strategic projects and process improvement initiatives to reduce risk and/or improve client service delivery. Influence senior stakeholders internally and externally to execute on strategic resolution of operational issues. Monitor daily reports on exceptions and problems by identifying root causes and manage risks associated.

Address trade exceptions, position management inquiries, and wide-ranging operational issues and account management questions.
Educate clients on enhancements to the firm’s offerings.
Compile and analyze metrics to evaluate client efficiency and experience, and identify improvement opportunities.
Liaise with Core Operations groups (Client Clearing Services, Control, Settlements) to resolve queries.
Collaborate with Prime Services, Sales, Legal, and Compliance to facilitate commercial opportunities under controlled conditions.
Lead or participate in strategic projects and process improvement initiatives to reduce risk and improve service delivery.
Influence internal and external senior stakeholders to achieve strategic resolution of operational issues.
Monitor daily exception reports, identify root causes, and manage associated risks.
Qualifications
Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Finance, Financial Risk Management, or related field with one (1) year of relevant experience, or
Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Finance, Financial Risk Management, or related field with three (3) years of relevant experience. Required experience includes:
Industry regulations including U.S. and international market settlement.
Day-to-day query resolution and escalation across a financial services firm.
Identifying risks in daily processes and designing controls to mitigate risk while pursuing Straight-Through Processing (STP) workflows.
Working with settlement processes to research and resolve outstanding client fails in local and global markets.
Experience with domestic and international cash equity and fixed income products.
Developing creative solutions to systematic problems in financial operations.
Root cause analysis and strategic resolution of recurring problems.
