As a Survey Manager in Denver, CO, you will have an opportunity to work with a multi-disciplinary team on meaningful, landmark projects in the Colorado region. This position exists to act in responsible charge managing employees in the collection of information and execution of surveying and construction staking projects. Responsibilities
Manage staff performing surveys to ascertain the locations of natural features and human-made structures on the earth’s surface using conventional GPS equipment and other surveying instruments for use in topographic mapping and engineering design surveys. Review survey crew daily work diaries as needed, review cut sheets and prepare weekly timesheets for self and review survey staff time sheets. Execute survey control and review jobsite safety for survey field staff. Review and apply geometry and survey calculations and gather and review data for the preparation of topographical maps and design surveys for new and existing construction. Manage staff preparing and/or preparing calculations for use in construction staking, boundary surveys and other surveys. Prepare and/or review boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, subdivision plats, land splits and other survey maps or plats. Perform analyses of data and demonstrate effective interactions with clients, contractors, subcontractors and other departments within the company. Prepare and oversee contracts for survey and mapping work. Review and prepare monthly billing reports and manage job budgets. Perform employee evaluations and interview/evaluate potential candidates for open positions. Qualifications
Candidate will be a Colorado Professional Land Surveyor or demonstrate the ability to obtain within 6 months of accepting the position. Candidate must demonstrate prior survey department management experience, and extensive knowledge of Front Range cities and counties survey requirements. Candidate must demonstrate strong independent thought, decision-making abilities and the ability to interact well with/lead department staff. Candidate’s experience shall also include: Word, Excel, Civil 3D and Trimble Office software. Knowledge of aerial mapping control surveys, geodetic surveys, local and national survey standards, Colorado Statutes/Administrative Code as they relate to Surveying and Mapping. What We Offer
