Maintenance Technician, Multifamily Job Description Summary
Responsible for assisting with operation troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs on commercial buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, grounds, and maintenance equipment for assigned properties/facilities. Job Responsibilities
Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems, including packaging and handling machinery, plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, grounds equipment, and HVAC. Clean, lubricate, and service a variety of pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices. Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems. Replace and repair building finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wallpaper, and perform painting on walls, piping, floors, and equipment. Evaluate and recommend upgrades to maintenance operations and identify savings opportunities. Use and care for tools and equipment used in facility and ground maintenance. Respond promptly to emergency situations and customer service requests. Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for safety and maintenance issues. Maintain and operate fire and life safety systems, including fire alarms and fire pumps. Perform carpentry and snow removal as needed. Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and safety practices. Utilize technology such as smartphones, tablets, computers, and building automation systems. Complete all required safety training and adhere to uniform dress code. Key Competencies

Minimum 2 years of related experience in a commercial property setting. Technical, vocational, or on-the-job training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, or related fields. Valid driver's license with a good driving record. Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word. Work Environment and Physical Demands
