Reporting to the Plant Manager, the CI Manager will lead the design, development, and implementation of the Continuous Improvement strategy for the facility. This role is both strategic and tactical – aligned with the overall business strategy and as the chief Lean practitioner.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of short, intermediate, and long-term Lean strategies for the facility.
Develop and maintain current state and future state value stream maps for each value stream within the facility.
Serve as the subject matter expert on Lean practices and tools and develop the playbook/matrix for application of such tools.
Manage the CI project list and Kaizen funnel, defining key criteria for selection and prioritization of Kaizen projects.
Collaborate with stakeholders in the development of KPI’s and ensure meaningful, measurable targets for all Kaizen activities.
Train, mentor, and guide team members in the use of Lean processes and stay up-to-date with Continuous Improvement and Lean principles.
Develop and build a culture of engagement at all levels to provide a highly energized team, flexible to meet changing business needs.
Prepare and manage the annual CI budget and forecasts.
Required Education & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, process management, engineering, or operations.
5+ years’ experience in a Lean manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated proficiency in Lean development and implementation.
Extensive training and application of Lean tools.
