Indirect Category Manager-IT . Indirect procurement plays a vital role in maintaining business continuity across the organization. The indirect procurement team is responsible for identifying suppliers that support services including capital equipment and investment, IT hardware/software, consultative services, logistics and distribution, maintenance and repair, marketing and human resources. As an

Indirect Category Manager-IT , you will ensure alignment with organizational goals and market trends within your field of responsibility. A successful category manager will develop and implement a strategic sourcing roadmap, engage in supplier negotiations, drive cost reductions, manage supplier performance, and execute agreements. The role involves coordinating global procurement strategies across Traton and Volkswagen brands, with a strong focus on North America.

Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing: Developing and implementing effective sourcing strategies to meet organizational goals Supplier Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure high performance while ensuring compliance with standards and contractual obligations Cost Reduction: Identifying and executing opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements Contract Negotiation: Securing favorable terms and conditions through effective contract negotiations Global Coordination: Aligning procurement strategies across different regions and business units within Traton and Volkswagen Innovation and Sustainability: Driving initiatives that promote innovation and sustainability within the procurement process Market Analysis: Research and benchmark market trends specific to the category to understand and communicate cost drivers

Minimum Requirements

At least 3 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experience OR Bachelor’s degree At least 1 year of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experience OR Master’s degree

Additional Requirements
