Job Summary Performs a variety of quality checks and tests on units, materials or products at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with quality and reliability standards.

Job Duties

Perform inspections of finished or in‑process goods to ensure work instructions are met and rework or reject as required

Use of required gaging instruments and the application of such instruments

Complete first piece inspection if needed (i.e., checks that items produced pass quality control requirements)

Record statistical data and input data entry

Assist in the writing and updating of inspection procedures, protocol and checklists

Analyze data and write summaries to validate or show deviations from existing standards

Perform audits to ensure standards of quality are maintained

Escalate issues when needed

Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately

Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)

Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures

Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Education

Perform work under general supervision

Handle moderately complex issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher‑level staff

Possess solid working knowledge of subject matter

2 to 4 years of experience
