Job Overview
Seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of millwrights and ensure efficient operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mechanical equipment in a high‑volume manufacturing environment. This role involves hands‑on supervision, maintenance planning, safety implementation, and collaboration with production to maintain optimal equipment performance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise millwrights during maintenance, repair, and equipment installation activities.
Plan and assign jobs, ensuring maintenance quality and adherence to safety standards.
Execute preventive, breakdown, and shutdown maintenance schedules.
Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and propose corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Ensure proper housekeeping and spare parts availability on the shop floor; communicate critical spares to the maintenance planner daily.
Train technicians and engineers on maintenance techniques, Job Safety Analysis, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Collaborate with production supervisors to ensure equipment reliability for manufacturing operations.
Implement SAP for maintenance tracking, planning, and reporting.
Support and promote OSHA safety standards to achieve zero recordable injuries.
Maintain drawings, tools, PPE, and maintenance records to ensure operational readiness.
Conduct toolbox meetings, maintain attendance schedules, and ensure adherence to company policies.
Must‑Have Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
5–10 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Proven experience supervising teams and managing shift‑based operations.
Strong knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems for maintenance management.
Solid understanding of mechanical systems, troubleshooting techniques, and preventive maintenance planning.
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial safety practices.
Excellent communication, delegation, and leadership skills.
Flexibility to report early or stay late based on operational needs.
