Overview
Join CoolSys as a Foreperson in the HVAC and refrigeration industry. You will lead, train, and mentor the project crew, prioritize and delegate responsibilities, communicate with tradespeople on the job site, and track project schedules to ensure projects are completed efficiently, accurately, and on time. Responsibilities
Serve as Lead Technical resource on assigned projects. Report on job status and performance. Control job costs. Develop and maintain productive relationships with peers, customers, general contractors, and subcontractors. Ensure the use of PPE and safe behavior, including vehicle safety, by all employees. Ensure compliance with installation policies and procedures, including project tracking, safety, time and attendance, etc. May oversee third-party resources. Direct and oversee the work of other Apprentices and journeymen on specific projects. Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or completion of trade program or technical school. College degree is a plus. 5+ years of experience in commercial building construction or related industry/trade. Knowledge of construction principles and practices, including efficient use of labor hours. Ability to organize tasks and give clear instructions and guidance as needed. Ability to maintain project labor hours within acceptable limits and request change orders as needed. Commitment to safe work practices and compliance with Safety policies. Ability to understand and follow all company policies and applicable state and federal laws. Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate punctuality and dependability. Proficiency with computer tools including E-mail, Word, and Project Planning Software (Projectmates). Strong time management, delegation, and follow-through. Benefits
