Your Role And Responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for end-to-end planning of inventory, including Sales in Excess of invoicing from purchase requisition to customer invoice. Each day, you will support internal customer service inquiries. You will also showcase your expertise by setting inventory parameters and targets and ensuring adequate replenishment of inventory through purchase orders, ensuring material availability as per manufacturing plan. The work model for the role is: Onsite. This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power Division in Richmond, VA area. You will be mainly accountable to: Defining inventory policies based on specified segmentation. Segments and optimizes the portfolio of materials through ABC/XYZ analysis, product lifecycle management, and commercial policy. Responsible for end-to-end planning of inventory; makes financial risk assessment decisions related to inventory and conducts root cause analysis when necessary; supports cycle counting and/or year-end inventory counting; analyzes excess and obsolete/aging inventory. Calculates and maintains the inventory parameters, including safety stock, reorder point, lot size, lead time, and replenishment strategies, in the planning systems and the ERPs. Collaborates with suppliers, drives the procurement process to achieve the best possible performance in terms of supplier on-time delivery, MOQ, quality, lead time, and flexibility. Ensures availability of materials as per the master production schedule; coordinates material planning with call-offs to ensure that purchase requisitions are converted into purchase orders in collaboration with operations buyers and services. Manages materials resource planning exception messages on a daily basis. Takes appropriate action for optimizing inventory performance, in collaboration with Operations Planner, Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing and Procurement and Logistics functions. Qualifications For The Role Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant field with at least 5+ years of experience in material planning/purchasing/ supply chain SAP MM/PP experience is mandatory Data Analysis & reporting Inventory Management & Control Microsoft office tools Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
