Our growing client is seeking a Machine Shop Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure production cycles are met from part design to fabrication. Hands-on experience with CNC and lathe programming is required for this full-time, direct-hire role. Responsibilities
Plan, assign, and direct workflow of the Machine Shop, providing expert technical support for all personnel (20-30 employees) Interview, hire, train, and motivate team; appraise performance and address issues Define manufacturing methodology with design, manufacturing, and process engineers Create CNC programs and holding fixtures Work with project management on new product development Implement continuous improvement initiatives for process and tooling Order and manage raw materials and consumable tools for the machine shop Perform additional tasks and projects as required Qualifications
5+ years of relevant experience and Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience Expert knowledge and hands-on experience with CNC/lathe machining and programming Continuous improvement experience is a plus Previous supervisory/leadership experience Strong communication and interpersonal skills Please share your resume in confidence for this Machine Shop Manager opportunity.
