The
Warehouse Specialist
accurately fills customers' parts orders, maintains inventory, processes returns, and maintains tools in a safe, timely and courteous manner using approved Duncan Aviation procedures. Additionally, this position professionally responds to internal and external customer parts' inquiries using the highest standard of customer service; prepares parts for shipping, receives incoming shipments, and loads/unloads delivery trucks using a forklift.
Essential Job Functions
Performs accurate and timely warehouse functions: fills customers' parts requests, verifies quantities, part numbers, descriptions, condition codes, lot numbers/expiration dates, etc.; responds to internal and external customer inquiries regarding parts issues, tracking goods, and researching open orders and lost parts.
Maintains integrity of inventory system by accurately documenting parts' movements in the computer and RF System (warehouse moves, order fulfillment, credits, putaways, etc.).
Performs RF cycle counts and manual counts to maintain accurate inventory.
Handles returns, credits, and salvages as necessary.
Prepares parts shipments by inspecting and safely packaging parts, performing shipment entry, producing correct documentation, and accurately coding shipping costs for billing.
Processes incoming shipments, verifies shipment with purchase orders, and visually inspects materials for damage, quantity, descriptions, part number, serial number, condition order, etc. per FAA regulations and Duncan approved procedures.
Unloads and loads delivery trucks using a forklift safely and timely, visually inspecting materials for obvious damage, documenting any damage, and notifying the appropriate team member.
Coordinates emergency shipments with the appropriate carrier according to Duncan Aviation approved procedures as necessary.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Job Specific Requirements
Licenses/Certificates: Forklift Certification; valid driver's License and acceptable driving record; Shipping and Receiving Auditor designation; Hazardous Materials Shipping Certification (eligible).
Attendance: Regularly scheduled attendance required.
Physical: Repetitive motion; reads small print; routinely lifts up to 50 lbs.; proficient keyboarding and data entry; tolerates standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, and sitting.
Environmental: Tolerates working in extreme temperatures and noisy environments.
Education and Experience
High School graduate or equivalent required.
Minimum one year related warehousing, parts, shipping, receiving or related experience required.
