The Maintenance & Building Manager is responsible for overseeing all facility maintenance, building systems, and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations. This position plays a key role in maintaining manufacturing uptime, ensuring regulatory compliance with Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) standards, and coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance across the facility.
Position Summary The ideal candidate will have experience supporting manufacturing operations involving CNC machinery (preferably HAAS equipment) and facility water treatment systems (WTS), while maintaining strong technical expertise in building and equipment maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day maintenance activities for the building, production equipment, and utility systems.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal EH&S regulations, including OSHA, fire safety, and environmental requirements.
Develop, implement, and track preventive maintenance programs for HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and facility systems.
Oversee and coordinate contractors and vendors performing maintenance, repairs, or construction work.
Maintain records of inspections, permits, and compliance documentation related to facility operations.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to
CNC machines (HAAS preferred) ,
Water Treatment Systems (WTS) , HVAC systems, electrical distribution, plumbing, and compressed air systems.
Support manufacturing operations by ensuring all utilities and critical infrastructure are reliable and properly maintained.
Manage facility improvement projects, equipment upgrades, and space planning as needed.
Conduct regular facility safety inspections and coordinate corrective actions with the EH&S team.
Assist in developing maintenance budgets, cost estimates, and capital expenditure plans.
Lead or support emergency response, disaster recovery, and safety training activities.
Qualifications
Education:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years in facility or maintenance management within a manufacturing environment.
Certifications:
HVAC certification preferred; additional EH&S or OSHA certifications are a plus.
Skills:
Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing).
Knowledge of EH&S compliance standards and documentation.
Hands‑on experience with
CNC machinery (HAAS preferred)
and
Water Treatment Systems .
Excellent troubleshooting and project management abilities.
Proficient with maintenance management software (CMMS) and Microsoft Office.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Experience
Experience maintaining and troubleshooting
CNC equipment (HAAS)
and
Water Treatment Systems (WTS) .
Experience in semiconductor, glass, or precision manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with ISO 9001, OSHA, and EPA compliance frameworks.
Hands‑on ability to perform minor repairs and coordinate major maintenance projects.
Location & Salary Austin, TX — $95,700.00–$150,000.00
