Position: Bilingual Customer Service & Language Specialist (Dari) | W-2 Employee Location: Onsite, Bellevue, WA Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (PST) or 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (PST) Employment Type: Full-time, W-2 Languages Needed: Dari, English Universal Language Service, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and professional Bilingual Customer Service & Language Specialist to join our team. This dual-role position combines real-time over-the-phone and video remote interpretation (OPI/VRI) services with administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, communicative, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. Base pay range: $20.00/hr - $25.00/hr Up to $25 per hour, depending on qualifications and relevant experience Full benefits package available, including medical insurance Key Responsibilities

Deliver real-time OPI/VRI interpretation services in Dari and English Assist interpreters with completing and updating profiles and documentation Follow up with interpreters to ensure records are current and compliant Maintain clear and professional communication with interpreters and internal teams Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and accuracy Coordinate interpreter assignments, efficiently manage schedules, and ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of client requests Maintain interpreter account records, updating information related to assignments, availability, and billing accurately Proactively troubleshoot scheduling issues, providing timely and effective solutions Requirements

Strong bilingual proficiency in English and Dari Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills Strong attention to detail and ability to manage administrative documentation Ability to work full-time, on-site (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM PST or 8:30 AM–5:30 PM PST) Prior interpretation experience preferred Medical DSHS or national interpreter certification/qualification (e.g., NBCMI, CCHI, Other) is a plus (support provided for those seeking DSHS Medical recognition) Education & Professional Background

Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Human Resources, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience) Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in customer service, scheduling, recruiting, onboarding, interpretation, or translation Work Environment & Screening

On-site position based at our Bellevue, WA corporate office Remote work is not permitted Candidates must pass a full-panel drug and alcohol screening and a national criminal background check About the role and expectations
