Position We are looking for a dedicated

VDC Project Manager

to join our team. We are actively seeking candidates based in the

Midwest (KS, MI, CO)

or

California . This role will require extended travel or temporary relocation, particularly to project sites in

Michigan

and

Indiana .

Responsibilities

Assist in obtaining, evaluating, and coordinating information needed to construct the project per the contract documents through BIM models and ensure the work meets safety standards, schedule requirements, and quality on site.

Leverage BIM models and VDC tools and processes to benefit project workflows.

Manage direct reports, provide training, and capture lessons learned to improve VDC PM team practices.

Independently handle complex assignments with attention to detail and initiative, involving others as needed.

Run projects from the field without assistance where applicable.

Maintain standard VDC documentation to industry-leading standards: VDC Execution Plan, VDC Coordination Schedule, VDC Sign-off Sheets, VDC Technology SOPs, VDC Project Scope and Budgets, Interactive Dashboards.

Review models from designers, subcontractors, and others to ensure proper coordination and field installation.

Teach VDC PM team members how to use technology and coordinate in the field.

Coordinate BIM logistics (contracts, emails, communication, file sharing, etc.).

Facilitate technology needed to run subcontractor big room meetings and maintain federated model standards (PE review models, field inspection models, punch lists, background models, field instruction models).

Create standards for running client meetings on project-specific goals and plans; run IPS VDC-specific client meetings.

Review trade models and coordination conflicts; maintain interactive dashboards.

Validate model-based project as-builts by trade subcontractors; ensure field subcontractors have the most current design and installation information.

Provide modeling support for change orders, ROMs, scope gaps, and design team support.

Assign and manage the creation of VDC PM-related SOPs.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's/Associate's/Technical degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

5+ years of experience in construction management, project management, or VDC/BIM roles.

Working knowledge of Navisworks Manage, Revit, and/or AutoCAD; knowledge of BIM 360/ACC and other Autodesk products.

Willingness to adopt new software and create/implement new and existing standards.

Strong working knowledge of MEP systems and installations; field experience in design and construction.

Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple jobs/files from multiple vendors and meet deadlines.

Customer service experience with strong oral and written communication; ability to work with colleagues, clients, and vendors at all levels.

Ability to resolve conflicts between contractors, clients, and the design team.

Travel & Work Environment

This position requires 75-100% travel, or as project needs dictate; may be assigned to client site for extended periods.

Overnight travel or staying in the client location city is possible; must have access to reliable transportation and flexibility for shifts, including weekends.

Must be able to work in indoor and outdoor environments with varying conditions; adhere to cleanroom gowning protocol where required.

Safety & Visa

This position is safety-sensitive and involves field work at client sites in construction, process, packaging, manufacturing, or similar environments.

IPS will not sponsor employment visas for this position.

All interviews are conducted either in person or virtually, with video required.
