Program Manager, Strategic Project Development (Hybrid)
Pay range: $120,510.00 - $133,900.00 per year.

Essential Functions
Responsible for all aspects of a portfolio of strategic ESMP transmission and substation projects from early‑stage development to hand‑off to Project Management Organization.
Oversee a cross‑functional project team including System Planning, Engineering, Siting, Real Estate, Legal, Project Management, Engagement, Regulatory Affairs, Environmental Affairs, and other internal stakeholders to establish and organize ongoing development plans.
Ensure that all strategic solutions are vetted in a manner consistent with the Company’s safety and procurement policies and programs.
Work with the appropriate departments to develop schedules and budgets of ESMP strategic projects in early‑stage development and be responsible for the implementation prior to execution.
Support development and documentation of Company Policies related to the development and execution of strategic transmission projects addressing items such as feasibility, planning, siting, permitting, construction, etc.
Focus on both internal and external collaboration.
Maintain familiarity with current and upcoming Policies and Programs that could facilitate Transmission Development.
Work with the Manager/Director to develop metrics by which to evaluate the success of transmission projects and continue to track project‑level and ESMP program progress; collaborate with other Program Managers and Senior Program Managers within Strategic Project Development team when needed.
Facilitate discussions with key stakeholders to assure alignment and key information exchange to advance Strategic Transmission Projects.
Assist in representing Eversource Transmission on committees, groups, associations, or other efforts consistent with Strategic Projects.
Assist in representing Eversource Transmission at public meetings, regulatory hearings, town hall meetings, and any special meetings that may occur.
Ensure Manager and Director of Strategic Project Development are briefed regularly on the status of responsibilities for the development of strategic projects and status of action items.
Technical Knowledge / Skills
Project management experience required.
Ability to develop and present reports within the organization.
Strong computer and analytical skills.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment across multiple subject matters.
Ability to take in multidisciplinary pieces of early‑stage project development and make decisions in a timely manner.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences internally and externally.
Demonstrated interest in ongoing learning and process improvement.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in a technical (engineering, environmental, communication), business discipline, related degree or equivalent experience will be considered.
Masters, law, or other advanced qualification desirable.
Experience
Minimum of five (5) years of related experience.
Experience developing competitive infrastructure projects and knowledge of electric transmission and distribution systems preferred.
Licenses & Certifications
Valid Driver’s license is required.
Working Conditions
Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
