Position Overview As a
Client Accounting Services Manager , you will oversee the delivery of high-quality outsourced accounting services for multiple clients, managing both client relationships and engagement teams. You will serve as a strategic advisor—interpreting financial results, implementing process improvements, and leveraging technology to help clients operate more effectively. Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of CAS clients, overseeing all aspects of outsourced accounting and financial reporting engagements.
Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP or other applicable frameworks.
Review and analyze financial statements, management reports, and KPIs, providing actionable insights to clients.
Serve as the primary client contact, maintaining strong relationships and delivering responsive, proactive communication.
Advise clients on accounting process improvements, system implementations, and internal control enhancements.
Oversee, mentor, and review work prepared by seniors, staff accountants, and offshore team members.
Coordinate with tax, assurance, and advisory teams to ensure cohesive client service and timely deliverables.
Stay current on emerging accounting technologies, helping clients adopt efficient cloud‑based platforms and automation tools (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, Bill.com).
Support business development by identifying client needs, preparing proposals, and participating in firm growth initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least
2 years in a supervisory or client management role .
Prior public accounting experience
required ; outsourced client accounting or controllership experience highly valued.
CPA license strongly preferred.
In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting best practices.
Proficiency in cloud‑based accounting systems and integrated financial applications.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and advisory skills.
Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.
Proven leadership experience in managing teams and multiple client engagements simultaneously.
