Specialist, Sr. Procurement

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and strategic Electrical Procurement Specialist to manage the sourcing and purchasing of electrical components and equipment. This role is critical in ensuring cost‑effective and timely procurement while maintaining high‑quality standards and supplier relationships.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute procurement strategies to secure high‑quality materials, equipment, and services for EPC projects.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand project requirements and align procurement activities with project timelines.
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers of electrical materials and components.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to ensure favorable agreements for the company.
Ensure timely procurement of products according to project timelines and budget requirements.
Develop and manage vendor relationships, ensuring supplier performance meets company and project standards.
Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and procurement reports.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and industry regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years experience in procurement, preferably within the electrical or construction industry.
Previous experience working on major projects with procurement spend greater than $5 M (an asset).
Strong understanding of electrical components, systems and supply markets.
Excellent negotiation, communication and organizational skills.
Proficiency in ERP Systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
