Job Overview
Artemis CoPack is a 67,000 sq. ft. cannabis co-packing and processing facility located in Lower Lake, CA. The Facilities Maintenance Manager plays an integral role in the company's overall daily operations by overseeing the upkeep, operation, and reliability of all facility systems, vehicles, and automated production equipment. This role requires an individual with strong leadership, organizational and communication skills, and the ability to delegate and oversee tasks to teams with a diverse range of responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will be a highly organized individual with exception attention to detail, with the ability to create and manage preventative maintenance programs for facility equipment, has a strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects while maintaining accurate digital documentation. This individual will take ownership of the facility's overall mechanical performance, and will maintain a proactive, solution-oriented mindset to ensure that all systems operate safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities Facilities & Equipment Maintenance
Oversee the maintenance and repair of core facility infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and compressed air systems
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated cannabis processing and packaging equipment, including trimmers, conveyers, pre-roll machines, extraction equipment, and automated packaging lines
Develop, schedule, and oversee preventative maintenance (PM) for all production and facility equipment
Maintain detailed digital records of maintenance activities, inspections, and service history and submit weekly maintenance summaries to management
Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and coordinate timely repairs
Maintain an organized inventory of parts, supplies, and tools, with the ability to submit purchase orders as needed
Manage inventory of all tools and equipment
Maintain door locks, security hardware, and facility access systems (e.g. key fobs)
Perform property maintenance, including dump runs, trail clearing, and brush management
Maintain the company's 5,500 sq. ft. estate and 90-acre farm property
Maintain water lines, irrigation tanks, and a 300,000 gallon pond
Oversee construction expansion, remodels, and other capital improvement projects
Vehicle & Fleet Management
Manage maintenance, repairs, and compliance for all company vehicles, including 26' refrigerated box trucks, Sprinter vans, quads, side‑by‑side, etc.
Track registration, insurance, and maintenance schedules
Conduct and log vehicle inspections, ensuring compliance with DCC and DOT standards
Staff Support & Coordination
Coordinate with sub‑contractor and vendors as needed for specialized services
Serve as the primary contact for maintenance and repair needs across all departments
Provide hands‑on assistance when machinery or systems malfunction
Support and enforce safety, sanitation, and compliance initiatives company‑wide
Qualifications
Must be 21 years of age or older (as per legal requirements)
Must be able to pass a Live Scan and criminal background check
Must have a valid California driver's license and clean driving record
Spanish language proficiency a plus
Minimum of a high school diploma
Minimum of 3 years of maintenance, facilities, or equipment management experience in a manufacturing, food processing, or cannabis facility
Possess strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Experience operating automated trimming (Mobius) and packaging equipment a plus
Experience managing fleet vehicles and coordinating service schedules
Proficiency with data entry, Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel), with a minimum typing speed of 25 wpm
Highly dependable, organized, and willingness to work weekends or after hours when emergencies or critical projects pop up
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, squat, and twist for prolonged periods of time
Comfortable working with cannabis products and working in an environment with high amounts of airborne particulate
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Cannabis and cannabis particulate is a known allergen. You will be exposed to environments with a high concentration of airborne particulate matter. This position is not recommended for individuals with asthma, or a known sensitivity/allergy to cannabis
