General Functions:

Responsible for managing the successful execution of Event Traffic Plans including oversight of traffic operations consisting of personal vehicles, taxis, buses, pedestrians, etc. Ensures staffing resources, signage, and equipment are positioned and operating effectively. Work is performed with independence under the general supervision of the Assistant Security Transportation Supervisor. Performance is reviewed through observations, conferences, reports and results achieved. Representative Duties/Assignments: Interpret and execute all event transportation plans; participate in preparing and scheduling the overall traffic plan. Implement the overall traffic plan including placement of all necessary equipment. Identify and assign staff for effective execution of event traffic plans. Coordinate with other Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) personnel to report and make adjustments to traffic flow into parking areas. Monitor the Dynamic Messaging Signage System for OCCC along with County and State roadways necessary for proper traffic routing. Monitor traffic flow and report status to supervisory team. Check-in and assign bus drivers to assigned pick-up and drop-off locations. Coordinate with other Orange County agencies such as Traffic Engineering and the Sheriff’s office as needed. Provide post-event assessments, evaluations and reports regarding effectiveness of traffic plan and applicability of traffic management strategies for future events. Attend transportation-related meetings including pre-convention meetings, client planning, site visits and operational meetings as needed. Review daily shuttle operations and verify driver performance. Maintain equipment including fueling of vehicles and minor upkeep. Assist in the management of the Courtesy Cart program. Account for all equipment and staff including authorization of time clock/sheet adjustments; identify and assign staff for effective execution of event traffic plans. Coordinate with other OCCC personnel to report and make adjustments to traffic flow into parking areas. Make adjustments and respond to situations that impact transportation operations. Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications

Associate Degree from an accredited institution and two years of traffic, transportation and/or shuttle experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. Must possess and maintain a State of Florida Driver’s License. Complete the Orange County Defensive Driving course within six months of hire. Must be able to operate county vehicles and golf carts.
