Aircraft Structures/Sheet Metal Technician role at AVmax. Location: Jacksonville, FL. Division/Department: MRO/Structures. Employment type: Full-time. Available vacancies: One. Avmax’s engineering division is a Transport Canada authorized Design Approval Organization (DAO) and its maintenance division is a Transport Canada authorized Maintenance Repair Organization (MRO). Responsibilities
Provide technical assistance or guidance to the crew. Communicate when tasks are complete so the next trade can move onto the job. Ensure the work environment is safe and clean. Carry out maintenance repairs on customer aircraft. Sign work sheets and work cards for work accomplished accurately. Demonstrate capability and competency in field of expertise. Builds quality capability and responsiveness for Avmax Group Inc. Carry out other duties as assigned within the scope of Aircraft Structures/Sheet Metal Technician. Qualifications
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work well with other individuals across the organization. Strong fundamental aircraft knowledge. Experience
3-5 years in the field. Training and Regulatory Requirements
Company regulatory training: HR & IT Orientation, Safety Orientation, Occupational Health and Safety, Safety Management System (SMS), General Procedures Manual (GPM), Maintenance Policy Manual (MPM), Human Factors, WHMIS. Training Requirements - Mandatory for All Employees: Respect in the Workplace, Workplace Violence and Harassment, Workplace Sensitivity, Workplace Bullying (All Jurisdictions). Human Resources Training Requirements for Supervisors with direct reports: Workplace Incident Investigations, Duty of Persons Directing Work (Bill C-45), Management Development Program, Occupational Health and Safety Awareness for Supervisors, Progressive Discipline, Avmax Supervisor 101. Onboarding: Most training modules to be completed within the first 3 months. Safety Committee Members training (where applicable): Incident Investigations, Health and Safety Committee Training.
