Job Summary & Responsibilities As the Inventory Specialist, you will be responsible for the requisition, inventory, and management of parts, tools, and equipment to assure efficient and effective operation of the plant. You will be an integral part of a best‑in‑class maintenance program by supporting the inventory and planning processes through accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration.

Properly manage documentation records related to deliveries and inventory transactions.

Maintain accountability for all tools, equipment, and supplies.

Keep a clean and organized storeroom and shipping/receiving areas.

Work with the local leadership team by ordering parts and equipment as needed and maintain optimized reorder points.

Consistently maintain strong inventory accuracy, resolve issues, and notify management of significant discrepancies.

Review obsolete parts and provide options on how to handle them.

Take an active role in shutdown planning and proactively update part availability.

Operate the forklift for parts movement.

Support periodic inventory audits.

Actively maintain the Bar/QR code labeling program.

Coordinate plant mobile/EZMax mobile devices.

Conduct Maximo training for new hires and assist other POET facilities with Maximo support and troubleshooting.

Learn and understand the basic operation of the plant process to anticipate plant needs.

Coordinate work functions within POET and other departments.

Strengths of a Successful Candidate

High school diploma or equivalent (required).

Experience with maintenance management systems such as Maximo is a plus.

Uptime Elements Maintenance Reliability Certification or equivalent is a plus.

Forklift certification.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn computerized accounting systems.

Self‑starter, initiative, and collaborative teamwork.

Excellent organizational, time‑management, and communication skills.

Detail oriented, critical thinker with independent judgment.

Integrity, honesty, confidentiality, and ethical behavior in all business matters.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic, and changing environment.
