Job Summary
A Senior Engineer solves problems using advanced concepts, defines/modifies/creates required engineering/design practices, manages projects and delegates tasks, leads compliance to standard processes, ensures own work and supports others to ensure on-time, error-free designs.
Resolves technical issues and effectively escalates team issues and helps others do the same.
Essential/Key Functions
Works independently to solve technical problems and deliver engineering solutions Understand requirements and converts requirements into engineering work products Provide guidance to less-experienced engineers Respond to requests from Manufacturing, Sourcing, Quality, and other functional groups Demonstrates Milacron values Takes full accountability of personal work Sets priorities for work flow Develops and proposes solutions to difficult problems
Management Responsibilities
Manages through influence. No direct reports.
Minimum (Required) Qualifications
7 Years of Progressive Engineering experience BS Engineering or equivalent combination of education/experience/training plus additional specialized training related to the position General knowledge on multiple subsystems General knowledge of cross-functional processes Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools. Proficient in MS Office tools Ability to use a number of collaboration tools such as team-based document control, video conferencing, scheduling meetings, conference calls, etc. Strong problem solving skills with sound decision making based on structured data analysis Multi-disciplined Systems engineering background preferred.
