Job Summary
Yunex Traffic, a global leader in intelligent transport systems, is seeking a
Senior Materials Planner
to join our Austin, TX team. The role focuses on ensuring efficient material flow throughout the supply chain, supporting production schedules and maintaining optimal inventory levels.
Responsibilities
Develop and manage material requirements plans to meet production schedules while minimizing excess inventory.
Monitor inventory levels to ensure materials are available without overstocking.
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery, resolve disruptions and maintain strong vendor relationships.
Work closely with production teams to address material shortages, delays or quality issues, minimizing operational impact.
Analyze demand forecasts, production schedules and inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
Identify opportunities to streamline material planning processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
Ensure all materials planning activities comply with company policies, safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
7+ years of experience in materials planning or supply chain management, preferably in manufacturing.
Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
Strong problem‑solving, organizational and collaborative skills.
APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) is a plus.
