Logistics Specialist/Ship Maintenance Support

The Opportunity:
As a Logistics Specialist, you’ll be joining an elite team of subject matter experts supporting Military Sealift Command’s Ship Maintenance Support Program providing a full range of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) services to ships operating worldwide.
Responsibilities:
Research, order, and track material identified by Principal Port Engineers as Government Furnished Material (GFM)
Perform technical edit screening on all material or service order requests
Research, submit, track, and validate requisitions and material required to support ship mission, repair, ashore allowances, and shipboard allowance requirements.
Monitor and maintain the status of all material ordered for ship maintenance availabilities; participate in cradle to grave tracking processes to support ship maintenance scheduling.
Maintain inventory accuracy of all assigned vessels stored in various MSC warehouses
Perform task administration, team training and quality assurance
Technical writing, developing, editing, reviewing and formatting trainee and desk guides.
Qualifications:
Secret clearance
High school diploma or equivalent
14 years of demonstrated knowledge, expertise, and relevant experience fleet sustainment logistics support services to fleet vessels of the MSC, U.S. Navy, or U.S. Coast Guard.
Highly proficient in MS Office products, particularly Excel
Experience with ship acquisition and fleet sustainment support services utilizing any of the following systems: MSC/Navy/Coast Guard/Commercial databases/systems as well as One Touch Supply LogiQuest or Haystack and FedMall

Pay Range The proposed salary range for this position is: $61,600-$129,300
