Overview

Compensation : $16.50/hour
Paid Training Start Date : Wednesday October 15th, 2025
Hours of Operation : Monday - Friday 7am-7pm PST

Texas or Arizona . In this role, agents will manage
inbound phone inquiries and consultations
related to claims, both
pre- and post-application , ensuring that every customer interaction is handled with
professionalism, empathy, and exceptional service . Agents will utilize SCE-provided training materials, scripts, and guides to deliver accurate, efficient, and courteous support.

Responsibilities
Customer Service & Consultation:
Handle inbound calls regarding claims inquiries, providing clear, courteous, and empathetic support to all customers.
Claims Process Expertise:
Apply knowledge of the claims process, utilizing training materials, scripts, and guides to resolve customer questions accurately.
Documentation & Note-Taking:
Record detailed, accurate notes of all customer interactions directly into the processing database, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
Appointment Scheduling:
Coordinate appointments using the designated scheduling tool when required, ensuring convenience and clarity for customers.
Eligibility Verification:
Verify APN (Assessor’s Parcel Number) sites via the established LA County website to determine customer eligibility for programs.
Continuous Learning & Compliance:
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of claims procedures and adhere to all policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
High School Diploma required
Spanish/English language proficiency is required , reflecting the diverse customer base served
1 – 2 years of previous call center/customer service experience required
Strong empathy and patience with the ability to communicate with courtesy and professionalism
Ability to actively listen, troubleshoot, and provide thoughtful solutions to customer concerns
Ability to provide a best-in-class customer service experience
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and organizational skills
Ability to work in a team fostered environment
Comfortable working in a customer-focused environment
Experience using various communication tools (voice, chat, email)
Ability to navigate online tools and resources accurately
Proficient personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office
